Hello everyone!!
I’m writing an update blog this week!
We are currently in Guatemala, staying in a small town outside of Antigua. Here we’re having our third all squad month. This means I have 42 other God seeking people living in the same place as me!! (Whoop)
We’re staying at an adventures in missions base here. Actually, they just finished building this beautiful property two days before we got here. You guys, I’m living in world race PARADISE. We have BEDS, RUNNING WATER, two absolutely amazing ladies to cook for us, AND an amazing leadership team that loves us.
It means so much to have people intentionally pour into us and care about our relationship with Jesus. The Lord has spoken over me that these two months are a time of growth, restoration, and freedom. He has brought an amazing friend and mentor into my life, and is teaching me so much through her. I’m so thankful to be in a community where Christ is alway present.
A couple weeks ago we had a team change. So instead of having 5 gals on my team we now have SEVEN incredible, humble, and strong women of God on my team! I know God has some BIG plans for us and I’m so excited to share them with you guys.
My team and I are teachers at a local school called Cani. I am a 1st grade teacher for these next two months. Teaching is such an incredible opportunity to minister to kids, and show them the love God has for them. If I have learned anything teaching, it’s that love has no language. There is always a deep understanding of love shared between me and the students despise the language barrier. I can’t wait to see how the Lord works in my life through these kiddos, and how I’m getting to impact theirs.
Like I said, the Lord is walking me through a time a of freedom. Last Sunday (at an English speaking church praise the lord!!!) the Lord asked me to fast my phone. He asked me to do this until my birthday, and it just so happened it was my last 18 days of being 18! How ironic, a perfect time for reflection and growth! He revealed to me that I am not a slave to technology or the media. Sometimes I let it get strong of a grip on me, and my soul craves for a refreshing time away from the screen. ( required blogs are the only exception)
Anyways, can yall believe the race is over half way finished?! I sure can’t! That’s insane! Any ways, thanks for reading, and always showing me love and support. I love you guys always! Xoxo
