Hi guys! My name is Lexi Grisanti. I am currently a senior at a school in Memphis Tennessee. I am a twin and have two other siblings. We were raised by our awesome parents, and grew up Catholic. I always believed in the Lord growing up but did’nt live my life for Him until my sophomore year. I started my relationship with Jesus about two years ago after getting involved in young life. Since then I have become more involved with Younglife and more passionate about living my life for our king. I am a young life leader for middle schoolers in our area, and did work crew at YL backpacking camp this summer.
My biggest fear is living a boring life day to day and not showing off our awesome God. I have prayed for the Lord to fill my life with adventure and show me ways in which I can honor Him. These past couple of months He has definitely answered my prayers ( haha maybe even a little too fast jk). He made it very obvious that college was going to have to wait, and I need to live my life for Him right now. #WHHAAT?! I have been planning my life around college for the past 4 years of my life and now I am going to traveling the world, and spread Jesus’s love??? I can dig it.
I did not know anything about the world race before I applied. Seriously. I googled “Christian Gap year” and it was that first one to pop up. But right when I started educating myself on it I knew this is where my heart is. I had an indescribable peace I had not experienced when applying for colleges. I immediately emailed every college I had been accepted to, and told them thank you for the opportunity, but the Lord has called me to the mission field right now. Now looking back on that it was probably not smart at all considering I hadn’t been accepted to anything yet but the Lord made it that obvious that He has a different plan for my life.
Everything is still very new and exciting but also confusing!! I can’t wait to embark on this journey and share my experiences I’m going through now/ during the race with you guys. I will be posting blogs/ maybe vlogs?! throughout this crazy awesome season of my life. Heres to living a whimsical extraordinary life with an exceptional God!!!!!!! Stayed tuned
