I am currently reading the book Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller. This book is described as nonreligious thoughts on Christian spirituality.

I’m only about a quarter of the way through, but I am so intrigued by the story and they way it’s told. Desiring to read is something I’ve always found difficult and this is the first book in quite a long time that has caught my attention.

3 things I like about it:

  • It is SO relatable for me personally
  • How theological and spiritual questions are brought up throughout one mans life and eventually answered by God.
  • Shortcomings of the church and or specific Christian people are brought to light and acknowledged that those shortcomings do not represent Jesus or all Christian people.

So, this is what I’ve been reading and thinking about a lot lately. I encourage you to give this book a try! I want to invite you into what I’ve been doing here in Guatemala because in some respects it’s very different than you, but in others it’s so similar. If you decide to read this book, I want to hear what you’re thinking!

Also, I’d really love to know what you all want to know about and what I should blog about. So please message me or comment on here!! Thanks so much for reading:)
