This month God has really been calling me into prayer.
More importantly He has been calling me into prayerful dependence on Him.
I have been reading the book “The Circle Maker” by Mark Batterson. If you haven’t read it READ IT. If you have read it you know how much it has changed my perspective on prayer.
In his book, Mark talks about the importance of circling God’s promises in prayer.
Praying as hard and as intently as you can into his promises until God gives you His holy confidence. Confidence that God has heard and has answered your prayer.
Even if you may not yet see the result of your prayers, He gives you confidence that you will one day see the result of your prayer.
This book has inspired me to transform my prayer life.
Really it has inspired me to transform my life into my prayer life. As I move throughout my day I am attempting to pray God’s promises into every second. Praying through every conversation, meal, book, and interaction.
Just giving every moment to the creator of those moments.
Drawing prayer circles is all about knowing that God is for you and that each promise in the Bible stands true to this day. As is written in 1 Chronicles 16:15-17,
“He remembered his covenant forever, the promises he made, for a thousand generations, the covenant he made with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac. He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Isreal as an everlasting covenant.”
EVERLASTING covenant.
God is watching each promise He made in the Bible, and is just waiting for us.
He is waiting for us to recognize those promises. All we have to do is ask, He is just waiting to pour out his blessings and promises on us.
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” -Luke 11:9.
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” -Mark 11:24
He doesn’t always answer when we want him to, but He will answer. All we have to do is keep praying.
