PMS

This month in India we are working with Partnership Mission Society ((PMS) unfortunate we know). It is an incredibly diverse mission, but has been blessed with success in every area (at least every one that I have seen).

They run churches, hospitals, schools, and send out missionaries.

So far I have visited 4 churches each with individual passion for the Lord, 3 schools each with over 600 children, and have been a part of a medical team traveling through 3 different states.

The churches are under the Evangelical Free Church of India and have spread into unreached villages all over the north-eastern region of India.

Each of the schools take in as many of the children from the surrounding villages as possible, and have boarding available for those who live too far away to walk. These schools are not open for Christians only, but for any child desiring an education. Even though the Children are not necessarily Christian the school still teaches God’s word and Christian values.

So far we have hosted 3 free medical camps. One in Saiphai, one in Damcherra, and one in Satarai. Between the 4-5 nurses, 1-2 doctors, and the optometrist each camp was able to help 500+ villagers, many of whom do not have access to any form of healthcare.

They have countless missionaries in the field. Each willing to give up the comforts of home in order to reach the formerly unreachable. One missionary we met, named Joseph, gave up everything to live in an incredibly remote village that, until the past few years, was unreachable by vehicle. His new home is one room that is about 15×25 with an outhouse out back.

Each person have met has impacted me with the depth of their passion for their people. It has never mattered where a person grew up it only matters that they are children of God.

One person that I have met who has impacted me the most is John Pudaite. John truly has a heart for his people, he has such a great desire for all people to hear, understand, and trust in the Word of God.

His father is the founding member of PMS and John has since taken over the entire mission society. He has huge God-sized dreams for the mission.

He is currently working on self-sustainability through the planting and tapping of rubber trees.

He has the children at the school sponsor children in the USA so they know that no matter where they come from they can have a global impact.

He just strives, in every aspect of his life, to be in God’s will and to shine God’s light into the darkest of places.
