A lot of you have been asking about my experience at training camp.  Training camp is something I will never forget.  From sleeping on a bus, “losing” all of my gear, and taking bucket showers it was a week that pushed me beyond my limit.  While all of those things are interesting, I want to share with you a little piece of all that the Lord did in my heart during those 7 days.

I had allowed fear to creep into my life over the past few months and it slowly began to rule me.  I was stuck in it and felt that I wouldn’t get out.  During one of our first worship sessions at camp I heard this song lyric for the first time..

“You make me brave

You called me beyond the shore

Into the waves

You make me brave

You make me brave

No fear can hinder now

The love that made a way”

God spoke to me so clearly in that moment.  All these months I had spent struggling with fear, and He wanted to make me brave.  No fear can hinder his love.  Not only did He want to make me brave, he was calling me to step beyond the shore and put both of my feet into unknown waters.

So I told God that I wanted Him to make me brave and to show me more of Him.  This became my prayer everyday at training camp and will be on the Race as well.

“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love”. -1 John 4:18

There is no fear in the life of a daughter of the King.  So as I enter this next journey with my Father I let go of my fear and take hold of His hand, excited for the chance to know Him more.
