What are my expectations for this trip?
I get asked that a lot and people think that my answer is kind of strange…
I do not want to expect anything specific.
Now before you think, “OK she is really weird, not reading anymore of these!” hear me out!
I truly believe that our expectations can sometimes limit our view of what God is doing in and through each situation.
So I try not to expect anything specific to happen.
No expectations…
About what our living conditions will be like.
Or what traveling to all these places will be like.
Or what ministry will be like in each country.
I want to be open to whatever God is doing.
I don’t want my narrow view to limit my involvement in things happening around me.
Overall I hope…
That God will deepen my relationship with Him by preparing for and going on this trip.
That God will do things I never imagined were possible.
That God will break my heart for His people on this trip.
That God will allow me to build friendships with my teammates that will last a lifetime.
That God will be glorified in all that we do.
