This month has brought about new changes in my world race journey.

The first is that I have a new team, this time it is an all-girls team. I am one of 8. Joining this team I had mixed emotions, I was glad to still be connected with old teammates, and anxious to get to know the other 4 ladies more than I have over our 2 months of being one as a squad.

My new team is as follows:

Charlyn Valencia, Brooke Brooks, Sophia Nalty, Liz Caddell, Amy Englund, Brittany Dietzman, Teresa LaVallee, and myself.

We call ourselves Team Remnant, with is referenced in Zechariah 8:11-12.

“But I will be different now to this remnant of my people from the way I was in those days, says the Lord who rules over all, for there will be a peaceful time of sowing, the vine will produce its fruit and the ground its yield, and the skies will rain down dew. Then I will allow the remnant of my people to possess all these things.”

The next change is geographical! We are in ASIA now!! Thanks to the Lord’s provision and grace I have succeeded the 3rd deadline and was able to continue on into Asia. I am only $3,985 from being FULLY FUNDED!

The seconded we landed I fell in love with this place. Its magnificent beauty, the joy of these people, the hunger they have…. It’s captivating.

We started traveling on Monday, Sept 30th, and did not arrive at our final destination until Wednesday (10/2) around 11pm Pilipino time. That’s over 55 hours of travel. *sigh* But we made it! Four planes, a few layovers, and some yummy airplane food later, we touched down in the Philippines. Jetlagged and dazed we met our contact for the month, JoJo, and her father, Al, as they picked us up at the Manila International Airport.

This month we are partnering with Threads of Hope and Aninuan Christian Church on the Island of Mindoro. During the mornings we help PaPa Al break up concrete flooring so they can lay a new floor for the church sanctuary/ basketball court. In the afternoons we play with the village kids, or evangelize to the community. We also teach Sunday school to the kids (ages 1-12) during Sunday service. On Saturdays we travel with JoJo to a local village to teach the kids about the bible, and work with the ladies who makes the bracelets for threads of hope.

The village that we live in is an eight minute walk from the ocean front. There are fresh pineapple plants, and banana trees on the property. We have a beautiful Husky pup, and two monkeys as pets! There are palm trees everywhere, as well as a beautiful, crystal clear river, where we wash our clothes.

This country is laced with the beautiful creations of God, and I can’t wait to dive in!

Thank You, Lord for choosing me to minister to these people, with this wonderful team of Godly woman. I cannot wait to see what God does with me this month, and with this nation.
