I was 5:00 PM on the night before launch. I thought I had everything squared away….until I got the phone call.
“In order to launch, you need to purchase a different insurance,” said the voice on the other line.
You mean, I need to fork over $300 in the next 6 hours??
After streaming tears and a prayer from my mobilizer, I posted a plea on Facebook and sent a mass text begging for help. I placed the situation in God’s hands and began to take deep breaths.
…here comes the cool part!
20 minutes later: Receive a text from a friend, telling me she would donate $30
5 minutes later: Friend’s dad hands me $50, without even knowing the situation
10 minutes later: Another friend calls and gives $40.
20 minutes later: Get a call from a friend’s Father, asking what amount i have left in order to cover the cost. I tell him $180. He says,” I got you covered”
WHAT!?!
I asked to show up, and He showed up. Crazy how that works, huh ?!?
You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, his generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus. Phil 4:19 (TMSG)
Don’t ever doubt Him. Seriously. Whether you are $5 or $500 from a deadline, and it seems like you are grasping at air, rest in knowing that God has called you into this season for a reason, and He will provide.
