Welcome to my blog. Thanks for stopping by. Since you probably clicked on this link to find out a bit about me, here are a few tidbits:

I was born in Alaska, raised in the suburbs of Seattle and now I’ve been back in Alaska for the last 10 years. I absolutely love Alaska. I love winter and could probably live in it year round if I had to. March in Alaska is the best – it’s when we are getting the longer days of sunshine, crystal clear blue bird skies, and awesome snow conditions. I probably mostly like Alaska though because it’s God’s creation in your face, all around you. You simply cannot live here and not believe in the Creator. His awesome handiwork is everywhere. He created it for us to enjoy! How I’m going to survive 11 months in hot weather climates (not to mention the creepy crawlies that come with hot weather climates like big bugs, spiders and snakes) will be only through God’s mercy and grace.

Anyway, I’ve been a follower of Jesus Christ all my life and my faith has shaped me to who I am today.  Through all the trials, tribulations, joys, and sorrows, God has been my constant! I am most grateful for God’s and my family’s unconditional love.

So, I also love adventure and I love to travel … Jesus + travel + adventure = The World Race! I’m fortunate to take a break from work to embark on this 11 month journey! I know it will be extremely rewarding, but I also know it will be very challenging.

Aside from my faith, traveling, and adventure, other activities or interests I’m passionate about include….

  • running up mountains and trail running
  • eating healthy and locally
  • skiing
  • fishing
  • gardening
  • flying in small Alaska bush planes
  • listening to music (especially 70s)
  • dancing (especially the hustle and swing)
  • playing the piano
  • seeing live theatre
  • learning and growing
  • feeling the wind on my face
  • playing games like scrabble
  • playing sports (not watching them) like soccer, broomball, football, and most others

I have traveled to about 30 countries, but I’m looking forward to this particular 11 month international travel through the World Race. Travel with a mission: to love on others and share with them God’s LOVE. Who-rah!

Just kicking back in the Australian Outback in our Camper Van.
