Hello from Siem Reap, Cambodia! Our team is staying at a YWAM (youth with a mission) base for the next three weeks. When we arrived at the base, we were greeted by a friendly and loving staff, PUPPIES, and bedrooms with ready-made beds and HEATED showers! (Praise God!) This city is beautiful! We’ve been given bicycles to explore the city with…each trip to town has proven to be an adventure ๐Ÿ™‚

This month our team is teaching English, math and computer classes at University of the Nations. I’m teaching two high school English classes, and a beginner-level computer class. Our students are so fun to spend time with; they’re constantly making us laugh! We’re having a great time thinking of creative lesson plans and puting them into action. Being called “Teacher Leslie” is going to take some getting used to…but i’m loving it ๐Ÿ™‚    This is our school ——>

School on wednesdays is optional for the students. Wednesday classes run the same as any other day of the week, but each lesson plan is Jesus-oriented. We use math, english and computer lessons to teach the students about Jesus Christ. Attendance is much lower on Wednesdays, but there are a handful of students that come hungry for truth and we welcome them with open arms!

This week one of our students came to wednesday morning computer class. His name is Pickdie; he’s sixteen. As he walked in he asked, “Teacher Leslie, will you write in English a prayer to put Jesus in my life? I want to practice it, and pray it with you tomorrow.” IS GOD GOOD OR WHAT!?         In a country that is 95% Buddhist, God is taking over! Come Lord Jesus, COME!!!  Would you pray for Pickdie–for the man of God that he’s being shaped into…for his increasing faith and knowledge of God? Would you pray for our wednesday class attendance?

Everyone here is healthy and safe. We’re finding joy in being God’s hands and feet. As a team, I feel like we’re growing together and learning a lot about each other. Unity and community are heavy on our hearts, and God is doing BIG things in/for/through Shabach this month! We’re loving Siem Reap, and seeing God move through it! More updates soon! Thanks for all of your prayers and support! We love and appreciate you!
