Loving and Faithful Friends:
Allow me to preface this blog with an apology. It’s been a loooong time since I’ve posted anything/given any kind of update, and for that i’m sorry. I’m not even going to run you through my list of sad excuses. They are just as much a waste of my time as they are yours. That being said, here’s the shortened version:
They changed our race route a little! Two new countries: Tanzania and the Philippines 🙂 New route looks something like this:
               -Philippines
               -India
               -Pioneer India/Nepal
               -Thailand
               -Cambodia
               -Pioneer Southeast Asia
               -Romania
               -Ukraine
               -Uganda
               -Tanzania
               -Kenya
               -UNITED STATES!!!*
*I added the US because mission trips happen here at home, too. When God says “go”…sometimes it means “go to the neighbors house” or “go into your roommates room” or “go to work and bring my light with you”. Where has God told you to go this week? This month? I want to hear about it!

Fundraising is going pretty well, tho I seem to have hit a “wall”.  Family and friends have been SO loving and generous with this trip! I’m blown away at how selfless and giving people are! All of my monthly sponsors are coming in, as promised (you know who you are–thank you for honoring your committments!) but as far as “new” donations…I haven’t seen any of those in a few weeks. I need to raise roughly $2,000 more to pay off this trip. And then then I’d like to start fundraising to help cover the cost of my gear and vaccinations! I’m trYing to be patient while I wait, but at the same time, being active about fundraising. This is proving to be rather difficult. I’m learing to lean on God’s ability, NOT my own (I only end up exhausted and frustrated), while still making sure that I don’t get lazy about it. God will provide, but most likely, not while I sit on the couch and watch! I’m learning how to TRUST God by WORKING with Him.

God’s been teaching me a lot about kindness, too. I will write about that in a later post. Right now, I want to hear where God is sending you, and what He’s telling you to do while you’re there. So…think about it and get back with me on this! And if you’re not really sure…I challenge you to find some quiet time and ask God where He needs you. I spend so much time writing about ME and never really hearing from everybody else! It’s about time I started including everyone–we are a TEAM, on the same mission…in different places–PRAISE GOD. Let’s talk about it! 🙂
