This month our squad was split into two groups: bar ministers and intercessors. On the nights when my group and I went out to do ministry, we’d head to the bars to love on the girls that work there. On nights we were scheduled to stay back at the base, we prayed and interceeded for the other half of our team that was going out. Whether I was in the bars, sharing a gospel of love with prostitutes, or down on my face before the Lord, interceeding for my team, this ministry has stretched and grown me in ways I never saw c
oming.

Bridgett was a true blessing and a necessary part of our team this month. She is a woman of prayer. Her voice has power and authority, and she’s well-aware of it. On several occasions, Bridgett voiced God’s calling over our team and called us to meditate on it…right there in the middle of Bangla road. As i’ve mentioned before, this road has been referred to as “the pit of Hell”. In the midst of Hell, Bridgett cries out to God with full confidence that she’ll receive the response she needs to keep pressing forward. Bridgett is a prayer warrior–she doesnt wear her armor lightly. She fully trusts that the helmet of salvation will protect her mind, that she has authority to use the sword of the spirit with power and effectiveness, and that her shield of faith is strong enough to protect her from the evil that throws itself at her relentlessly.

These women of faith, when fully armored, are unstoppable. God’s ability in them is endless. This month, I had the honor of ministering beside them. It is quite possible that they had more of an impact on me this month than they did on the prostitutes we were faithfully called to love.
Stay tuned for stories from our outreach this month! <><
