In honor of 11/11 while on 11 in 11*, I am starting a brand new fundraiser!!!! I still need approximately $3,000 before January, so please help me help others and support my race!
For the past couple of months, I have been considering getting my first tattoo while I’m in Nepal. I decided to look at what the bible says about tattoos and I came to the following conclusion:
While it is true, the law of the Old Testament was against tattoos (just as it was against braiding of hair and eating of pork), it is also true that Jesus came to set us free from the confines of the law (“Everything is permissible, not everything is beneficial”). However the New Testament, also states that as Christians, we should avoid anything that makes our brothers and sisters stumble in their christian walk (like getting a tattoo for instance).
So you get to decide whether or not I get a tattoo on the World Race!
Top 5 Reasons to Vote:
1. Help me stay accountable. (I don’t want to be your stumbling block)
2. Give into your democratic self and let your voice be heard! Vote and see real life results!
3. Allow me to share the gospel in a new way with my bible focused tattoo!
4. You have the chance to have a say in something that will forever be with me. How cool is that?
5. You’re helping fund my mission! This enables me to continue serving the LORD, and allows Him to use me in every situation.
How to Vote:
1. Comment “yes” (for getting the tattoo) or “no” (for not getting the tattoo), on this blog post.
2. Click the support me link.
3. Donate $11 to my World Race account. (You can get double the vote for a $22 donation, triple the vote for a $33, and so on)
(Optional) 4. Share this blog with everyone you know!
VOTING ENDS DECEMBER 11th!
* 11/11 meaning the date November 11th, and 11 in 11 represents the World Race mission of 11 countries in 11 months.

I have loved reading everyone’s advice and opinions. Thank you for the perspectives. Remember to donate $11 per vote. Keep on voting!
For your entertainment: here’s a picture of my henna tattoos, which is a huge part of Indian culture. My team got them done by women at church. Henna tattoos only last 2 weeks. (also not the tattoo that I would potentially get.)
UPDATE from December 1st
Yes Votes– 56
No Votes– 22
There’s only 10 days left to let your opinion be known! Just comment yay or nay below and donate $11 to my world race account. Thanks to everyone who has voted so far!
FINAL UPDATE!
In the end, the votes came very very very close. So thank you to everyone who supported my race and gave your tattoo opinions.
YES votes– 136
NO votes– 125
Keep your eyes peeled for the pictures of my Nepali tattoo!
Once again, thank you for helping me to become fully funded! As stated above, the yes votes won out. So here’s the result. While in Kathmandu, Nepal I got a tattoo. It says “walk humbly”, as a daily reminder to do just that.
