Dear Youthquake Live*,
As you enter your 20th season, I just wanted the current cast to know how important each one of you are. Last year, I worked as a dance intern and I know that simply from that perspective that everyone had such a profound impact. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend a single show this season. However this is because God has called me to share His love around the world. I am currently on month 3 of an 11 month, 11 country mission trip, called the World Race.
Last month I was in Albania which is a European country that is 75% Muslim. While there, I was able to work at a church camp. Most of the teenagers at this camp had never heard of Jesus. The leaders of the camp presented the gospel using music, dance, and skits. It reminded me of you guys. Although my Albanian skills are nonexistent, the gospel message was clear even to me. I believe this the power of artistic expression when used to the glory of God. It breaks down barriers and stirs hearts.
I want to encourage the cast of the Legacy Tour to go deeper places with God. Trust wholly in Him and He will not lead you astray. Each of you has the opportunity to share the gospel and rock this world for our God. Never be afraid to embrace your art for the Lord, because it has the power to transform lives. “Even the smallest person can change the course of the future.” Remember that if you’re not living on the edge, that you are taking up too much space!
Lots of Love From Moldova,
Leslie
