As I sit in my final airport of my 11 months of traveling from country to country and constantly adapting to a changing environment…I wonder so is this it…is this the end?
The answer is NO!
My Race was an AMAZING experience. I learned what real healthy community looks like. I learned how important it is to have a church. I learned how truly amazing and powerful I am!
It was an amazing year. It is easy for me to identify the changes and growth I have had with the Lord because of the environment I am in. This is due to the fact that I am in an environment that intensifies these changes. Other than that God has done nothing in my life that he could not have done in America….(except get me out of my comfort zone, but that’s a different point).
What I am trying to get at is what if you spent everyday of your life waking up and asking God what do you have for me today? What if you added a good quality time of communication between you and God into your daily life? What if you did something to help somebody else once a week? What is you did intercessory prayer twice a week? What if you built a community around yourself that would provide you with feedback in order for you to grow to be more like Christ? What if your church worked like a CHURCH?
This is not a blog to insult anyone but I honestly believe that my Race is not over. It has just began. I want to challenge each of you to continue to grow in each of the previously mentioned list. Because other than constant moving and the life of a missionary being my world 24/7 you can have the same year I had. Just dive into your relationship with Christ.
So that is my plan. My plan for when I get home is to find a community. Build a church withing that community. I want a community that’ll push me in my relationship with God, but also push my into achieving my life goals. I want to chase a deeper relationship with Christ by focusing on mind, body, and spirit. This means that I will wake up each morning and have time with God, spend time working on my body (working out), and doing atleast one thing for someone else every day.
I know that I can achieve all of these as long as I stay focused on my over arching goal of wanting to continue my growth with Christ.
Thank you all so much for your support over this year. It was the best year of my life so far and I can’t wait to see what God does in the next part of my Race that starts later today (August 21,2017) when I touch down in America.
