Team formations are stressful.

To not give away too much of the mystery of training camp, I’ll just say that it is best to just be yourself and to not worry that the staff is watching you and taking notes on you 24/7.

But have no fear, future World Racers, the staff along with our great God, know what they are doing.

They are in no way going to give you the easy way out, but they do have your best interest in mind when making each decision.

I’m relieved and thankful that the process is over.

So, without further ado, meet Team Ratsah!

From left to right: Lucy, Rachael, Ana-Lisa, Ana, Hayley, and myself

I'm so in love with each of these girls. There is a great mix of different personalities and we all get along well. I know it won't always be easy living in community 24/7, but I'm glad to be able to learn how to love each other well along side these women.

We were able to have team time on Thursday night of training camp and one of our objectives was to pick a team name. We were sleep and caffeine deprived, so our obvious first stop was the local coffee shop. We sat down and started to discuss what we wanted the theme for our team to be.

Each one of us had experienced God in crazy ways that week, but we all felt similar in the fact that we knew God was reinforcing that he delighted in us as His daughters. It is something, that as women, we need to be reminded of from time to time.

We began putting together any name that contained the fact that He delights in us. Then, Ana-Lisa started reading Isaiah 42 to us.

1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold

    my chosen, in whom my soul delights;

I have put my Spirit upon him;

    he will bring forth justice to the nations.

2 He will not cry aloud or lift up his voice,

    or make it heard in the street;

3 a bruised reed he will not break,

    and a faintly burning wick he will not quench;

    he will faithfully bring forth justice.

4 He will not grow faint or be discouraged

    till he has established justice in the earth;

    and the coastlands wait for his law.

5 Thus says God, the Lord,

    who created the heavens and stretched them out,

    who spread out the earth and what comes from it,

who gives breath to the people on it

    and spirit to those who walk in it:

6 “I am the Lord; I have called you in righteousness;

    I will take you by the hand and keep you;

I will give you as a covenant for the people,

    a light for the nations,

7     to open the eyes that are blind,

to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon,

    from the prison those who sit in darkness.

8 I am the Lord; that is my name;

    my glory I give to no other,

    nor my praise to carved idols.

9 Behold, the former things have come to pass,

    and new things I now declare;

before they spring forth

    I tell you of them.

THAT WAS IT!

God delights in us like He delights in His son and He was allowing this prophecy to be spoken over us as well.  We decided to look up the Hebrew word used for delight in verse 1 and that is how we came across “Ratsah”.

He is sending us to the nations to be a light, to open the eyes that are blind, and to bring out from prison those who sit in darkness.

I am honored to be able to do life with these ladies.
