Instead of telling you, I will show you!!

I have been trying to write a blog about Haiti for the last couple of weeks but every time I sit down it never comes out how I want it. We were fortunate enough to work alongside Mission of Hope Haiti; I remember walking onto the compound for the first time and they had…COLD WATER!! My time there was awesome, I fully support their mission and what they are doing. While being there we got to meet many awesome men and women that they are raising up to serve their own villages. We also got to hold babies, play soccer, paint houses, and eat authentic Haitian food. I learned so much from the staff at MOH, but I especially learned a lot from the Haitians in the villages we had the honor to visit; sometimes with bare feet and little to offer they will give up their seat for you to sit down. Overall it was an amazing experience, and I’m sure that as I continue to process the month, there I will have more to say about it!

Map of the many villages we got to visit! My favorite to work in was Simonette!

When the earthquake took place Samaritan’s Purse came a built temporary houses for people whose homes were destroyed

Mission of Hope Haiti has been building homes for those without one. Through the grace of God they have been able to bless of 200 families, and they don’t plan on stopping until every family is housed. We got to paint some of the houses, all bright colors.

Madly in Love with this precious little girl! Her name is Angelina, she is about 2 years old. I got to meet and pray with her mama and papa; we prayed for a new home, and that they all continue to stay healthy!!

Team Chosen on Valentine’s Day!

These are some of the awesome people I got to serve alongside this month. Grateful for my squad and the MOH staff!!
