Passport Photo Booth “Maps.Me” is a perfect map app for the world! You download the map for the country/city you will be in and then you can use that map WITHOUT WIFI!! It’s been a life saver on the race!!
If you’re on a route that is going to do a lot of ATL (Ask The Lord) go ahead and download “Airbnb”, “Booking.com” and “hostelworld” !! Booking.com has been the most helpful but the other two are also great!

Booking.com App Although the rest of the world, for the most part, does speak enough English for you to get by.. it’s such a joy to see a local’s face when YOU speak THEIR language!!
“Memries” is a fun and easy app to learn a few words from a lot of different languages!
** “Google Translate” is also a super great app for those language barriers**
Memries Download a Currency Converter app!! That will come in clutch! JUST FOR FUN!
But still super awesome to have! “Been” is such a fun app to track where you’ve been!
It gives you the percentage of how much of the world you’ve “been” to, and visually shows you what countries you have been in!
*You can also track which states you’ve been to, too! 🙂
“1ST” Is a one second a day app! You record one second from your day and it puts it in a nice little video!! It has been awesome for the race and traveling! Just keeping track of all those little memories!
*No worries if you forget a day! you can go back in and add videos later!! I forget all the time… lol*
1 Second a day Also other good apps to have! A VPN! This app will allow you to access the internet as you would in the U.S. It comes in nicely in countries like China and if a county decides to turn off social media platforms! **This happened to us in Sri Lanka. Your mom will also thank you if Facebook messenger is the only way she contacts you.
VPN 360 Grab or Uber! **Set these up before you leave the states or your home country!** Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp are used by 90% of the world. Instagram is a great place for story telling and quick updates on your daily life!
** Remember its a tool and can be a great ministry opportunity! Don’t abuse it.** Pinterest is also awesome for finding the “must do’s” in a new city!
Spotify Family plan is also super awesome! Grab a few squadmates and create a family plan! This saves money and you can listen to all your fav music offline!
