Dear Friends and Family,
I want to start this letter by thanking you for your friendship and irreplaceable role you have played in my life.
In January 2016 I will be leaving for an 11 month Christian mission trip to 11 countries around the world. One of the unique things about the World Race is that it’s not only a mission trip but it also facilitates discipleship through real, authentic community. Through the World Race, my team and I will serve in a partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restorative hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.
I will be traveling to South Africa, Botswana, Madagascar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala!
Since the minute I first heard of the World Race I have known this is what I needed to do. I know that you can be a missionary anywhere you are and that there are cheaper and simpler options. I have to go on the race because I have such a deep desire to travel and see the world, to see God at work in ways I never imagined, and to push my comfort zone by living with only the essentials for a while.
The hard part is that I need to raise $15,500 by January to go fully funded on this trip. That pays for all of my expenses, including travel, food, lodging, everything, but is still a daunting amount of money for me to raise! So I’m asking you, my friends, my family to help me make this a reality.
