A couple weeks ago I wrote that at the end of the month I would be leading a Passport trip for three months, from September to November. At that point many of you were probably wondering, as was I…where?
INDIA.
I am ecstatic! On the Race, India was one of my favorite months where I learned multiple lessons from the Lord and quickly fell in love with the people and culture. Leaving at the end of January, I prayed that I would be able to one day return, but never imagined my prayer would be answered so quickly and I would be returning only eight months later.
While I know that I will still love India, my experience will be very different upon my arrival.
The team will be different.
The time in India will be longer.
I will be a leader.
The ministry will be different.
In India my team and I will be serving with Sarah's Covenant Home. Sarah's Covenant Home (SCH) provides a family-style environment for children with developmental disabilities and neurological special needs, where they are given love, an education, therapy, and medical and surgical care. The children at SCH were referred to them by the government having been abandoned or relinquished by their families. Many of them arrive to the home in weak condition, with illness, anemia, and in need of medical and surgical care. SCH provides them with the love and care they need to be able live a healthy life.
(You can learn more about Sarah's Covenant Home at their website: schindia.com)
From September to November this is what I will be doing. Loving on the children in Sarah's Covenant Home. As well as having the chance to pour into the lives of the 8 women going on the trip. I know God holds many great things for these coming months!
As always your prayers are very much coveted as I embark on this next season and I can't wait to share with you all that the Lord does.
Friends and Family, I need your help to get to India. I am currently $700 away from being funded. Would you please prayerfully consider joining with me in loving on these children and pouring into these women's lives through your financial support? You can donate here on my blog by using the "support me" link.
