On the Thursday of training camp we were placed into our teams for the year. While we will be spending some months, travel days, and debriefs as a entire squad it is our teams that we will be spending most of the 11 months with. As a team we will be with each other literally 24/7 as we embark on adventure, live, and do ministry together. Needless to say my team will be my family for the next year and will have an important part in the journey God holds.

So I want to introduce you to: Team Mosaic

From top to bottom we are: Candace (team leader), Paige, me, Megan, Katie, and Kayla

As individuals we could not be more different. We each come from different backgrounds, careers, states, and hobbies. Each of us bring a unique, irreplaceable part to the team. We are tied together by our love for Christ, yearn for adventure, and passion to see people all over the globe experience the fullness of being in loved by their Heavenly Daddy.

A mosaic is created by assembling small broken pieces of different colored glass, stones, and various other materials. All the different pieces once placed together form a beautiful masterpiece. We believe that is what God is doing with each of us as individuals and together — taking our different broken pieces and placing them together perfectly to create a new and unique creation.

I am honored that God picked these five women to become my sisters and for us to learn to love in real and raw community. These women are going to see me in my best and worst…they've already seen a glimpse of it, but were full of love and grace. Pray for each of us as we live and travel together — that we learn what it means to be a Godly sister, that we can be open with what the Lord is teaching us, that regardless of the situation we fight to protect one another, and that even in those days where we are beyond frustrated with one another that we learn what it means to forgive and reconcile.

I can't wait to share more stories about life with these ladies over the next year…watch out world cause they're letting us loose July 4! Our first country Thailand!

I am almost 50% funded, praise the Lord and thank you so much to each of you who have partnered with me! This mission would not be possible without each of you. In order to be completely funded I still need $7,500 by January 2014. If you would like to partner with me you can do so through this blog where it says "Help me love the nations!" or I will be in Morganton till leaving in July. I would love to take the time to talk you!

Much love — Lena
