Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them. For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. I tell you the truth, anyone who does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.” Luke18:16-17
We shared the good news of Christ with these women and children in Lilongwe, Malawi.

We’ve been visiting many houses this month. As we walk through villages within a few minutes its not uncommon to have 20 kids  following us and shout “Azungu!” (white person) in shock as we walk by.  Somehow children pop out from houses, around corners, gardens you name it…and follow us.   Sometimes I felt like the pied piper.   Our last day of ministry in Malawi I asked Pastor Shadrack (who we were working with) how many children he thought we had entertained during the past 3 weeks. Easily 1000.  So really without even trying we usually have a ministry to children.

One  day as we walked through the village by the time we arrived at church we had about 50 children with us but only 5 adults.  We spent some time just teaching the kids songs and playing games with them. Then as Amanda started teaching I held a little girl and she fell asleep in my arms.   I thought about how tenderly God loves us and he calls us His children. How he cradles us with his love and just wants to hear from us. He is the perfect Father.   God has lavished his love upon us and called us his own.
