Dear Family and Friends,
You may know that I had the opportunity to travel to Guatemala with Adventures in Missions last summer, and it was the most amazing experience I have ever had. Ever since the start of the trip my heart for the nations has grown tremendously! I knew that I wanted to return to Guatemala, or experience a new country sometime in the near future, but I never would have guessed that I would have another chance to travel with missions so soon! All of us are called into the mission field, whether it is in your neighborhood or half way across the globe. I have decided to put my worldly desires on hold for awhile and trust God to lead me wherever I am supposed to go in the coming year; so I am honored to announce that I have been accepted to go on my second mission trip, the World Race Gap Year!
In August I will be teaming with a group of 18-22 year olds from around the country, and we are going on a 9 month mission trip to the countries of Guatemala, Lesotho (South Africa) and Cambodia! My team and I will be living in each of these countries for 3 months. I won’t know many of our ministry specifics until it gets closer to August, but I do know we will be partnering with several orphanages, hospitals, and even ministering to victims involved in human trafficking.
Now here’s the part where you come in. I won’t be staying in any vacation suites, but traveling is still very expensive. For this trip to be possible, I need to raise $13,805 by the end of July. This amount includes all of my travel expenses, lodging and meals. Like most people I don’t have 13,000 dollars lying around, but I trust that God will provide. This may sound like a huge number, but to put it in perspective: if 13 people donated 1,000 dollars; 50 people donate $260; or 100 people donate $130; my trip would be almost fully funded. Any and all donations are welcome, and prayers are in just as high of demand!
