Dear Friends and Family,

I hope this letter finds you all well. I am writing to let you know of some very exciting news and some radical changes I am making in my life.  Over the last year, I have been on this incredible journey where God went from someone who was in my head to someone who was tangible and has changed my heart. God has done tremendous things in my life over the last year and he is not finished yet.

For the last several years I have read World Race Blog’s and thought I would love to be a person who could take that leap of faith and go.  Time and time again I said, “Next year” or “This isn’t the right time.” I am ready and I am about to embark on a journey that will take me to 11 countries in 11 months.

I am going to serve as a missionary through an organization, Adventures in Missions, in their World Race Program. My group, which is scheduled to leave in September, will be serving in the Australia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, India, Nepal, Tanzania, Rwanda, Kenya, Ukraine, and Romania.  We will live as part of the community and will partner with churches and ministries already on the ground in order to better serve the people. Some things I may be involved in are; working in orphanages, feeding the hungry, teaching English, and ministering to those trapped in prostitution by human trafficking. The goal will be to bring hope and love in a world where that seems to be scarce. I want to be the hands and feet of God, I have a hunger to serve, I want to live the gospel. This will be a life changing adventure.

As part of my trip I need to raise funds, specifically $15, 500 worth of funds. I know what you’re thinking that is a ton of money and times are tough. I know it is a lot and I am hoping for a God-sized miracle. Let me break it down like this, if 200 people pledged to give me $5 a month for 15 months, I would meet my goal.

I am writing this letter to ask you if you will partner with me on this cause. I know that many of you may not be in a position to donate financially, but if you are; you can donate one-time gifts, or support me monthly. You could also support me with prayers, blog comments, and e-mails.

You can donate online through my blog, just click the “Support” button.  Adventures in Missions is registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.  Donors will receive receipts for their gifts.

Throughout my journey, I will be blogging as regularly as possible, you should definitely subscribe to my blog; it will be real and personal. I am anxious and excited to see how God is going to use me in this next chapter. I am thanking you in advance for your love and support throughout the next 19 months.

Lots of love and best wishes,
Leanne
