Love looks like waking up to giggling children at the door, morning worship, rice field sunrises, the 12 days of Christmas song, team star gazing, watermelon seed fights in the watermelon garden, the ice cream man, team norms, Mad cow Monday, Inside out Tuesday, Twin Wednesday, team runs, guacamole dates, cookie dough, a sweet embrace, 8 hour van ride, celebrating birthdays for the first time, edible Christmas trees, morning yoga.

Ministry looks singing songs, teaching English, playing ninja, playing cops and robbers, working in the rice field, hauling bales of rice, skits, making work books, making sugar cane drinks, buying snacks, playing Dutch blitz, going for walks, Bible study, organizing a Christmas show, scavenger hunts, holding children, praying, movie night, hanging out and building relationships.
Grace looks like fire ants, team changes, “Fine, thank you and you?”, “What’s up? – Good!” being electrocuted, falling bathroom doors, bucket showers, internet stick, tarantula in the bathroom, translations, angry cows, power surges, frogs in the squatty, Video Thursday, Foreign Accent Friday, Surprise Saturday, Silent Sunday, infected cuts that won’t heal, Ramen for breakfast, Pork Floss, learning names, The Killing Fields and Christmas curry.

Praise looks like my tent bedroom, candy canes, a trip to Angkor Wat, DQ, headlamps, fans, magic chili sauce, fresh fruit, vegetables, Samurai, post-its, pizza, “The Pavillion”, ENO time, divine appointments, pink toilet paper, hydrogen peroxide, dial soap, ring pops, “Our Christmas tree” and stockings.

Life looks like “Same, same, but different,” God’s pursuing me, answered prayers.
