Hi, I am Leanne Elizabeth Le Blanc; it’s nice to meet you!

I am not so sure what to say in this “About Me” section. Blogging is going to be a new adventure for me. I am not sure where to start, so I am just going to dive in.

I have always had a fear of writing.

Here are two reasons why; I think it dates back to my junior year of high school when my English teacher told me I was a "Comma splicer," whatever that is. I have been intimated by the pen and the paper ever since. To be completely honest, most of the time, I ignore punctuation completely.

The second reason, which seems to be closer to the actual reason, is I have had ADHD, I guess my whole life, and as a result my mind goes faster then I can process. I often have trouble staying on task and organizing my thoughts. I am not defined by my ADHD, I know this, but it is 1 of many fun facts about me. I am really convinced God will heal me of my disorganization and I can’t wait for this, it might even be through blogging. I am excited to reflect back as time goes on.

With that being mentioned I am going to list 25 fun facts about myself in random order.

1. I eat limes like oranges, yum yum!

2. I grew up on the South Shore of Massachusetts. I love MA and the fact that I get to enjoy four seasons. My location in the state is also great, I am 45 minutes from Boston, 45 minutes from Cape Cod, and 3 hours to the mountains. If you have never been to the Cape you are definitely missing out. Nantucket is an island off the coast of Cape Cod and it is one of my top 5 favorite places. New England sports teams also rule, I love the SOX!

3. My family has had a professional clown business since I was 7. Some of the coolest people I know are clowns. Yes, I said it CLOWN, we are clowns, it is something we do, it is not who we are, well…mostly the lines maybe varied at times.
My clown name is Sassafras. On the first night of preseason, freshman year of college that was my fun fact, I am a clown. From that point on I was known as Sass, Sassy, Sassypants, Sassafras, etc

4. I have 2 brothers and 2 sister-in-laws. I have 3 nieces and 3 nephews and they all rock my socks! I am closer in age with my oldest nephew then I am with my brothers. God has taught me over the past year how to give my family over to him. I can not save them, nor fix them and their problems, only Jesus can.

5. I have called my parents Bill and Paula since high school.
I think I have 2 reasons for doing this:
1. If you are in a store or a bathroom and yell out, “Mom,” a bunch of people say, “What,” but if you yell out, “Paula” maybe 1 or 2 turn around. (I may have stolen this rationalization from the movie, “Curly Sue.”)
Reason 2, is because my brothers and I have different moms. Over the last several years I have talked with them more and more on the phone and I find it is easier to just say Paula and Bill then say “My mom” and dad. My parents are awesome. I need to figure out all their tricks before I have kids of my own. My mom is hysterical, I love her personality, I can talk to her about anything. My dad would do anything for anyone. He can build anything out of nothing, it is fabulous. I appreciate them, their unconditional love, lack of judgement and support more then I express.

6. I think people come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.

7. I pretty much "Love, Love, Love" anything turquoise or coral. I also love, love, love scarves.

8. I lived without internet and tv for a year and a half, it was great. You would be amazed at all the things you can distract yourself with though. Here I was thinking I would read a ton and be productive. During this time I realized I am a total “Overthinker;” however, I am giving all the overthinking over to the big guy in 2012.

9. Someday I want a pet hedgehog.

10. I wish I knew how to skateboard.

11. I have zero rhythm and that is another thing I ask God to heal me from. I have always wanted to be able to play praise songs on the guitar at a camp fire.

12. I met a woman who rebuked an F5 tornado in the name of Jesus, and it rose up and went over her house. That woman’s name was Grace. It's a good story, ask me about it sometime.

13. Sometimes I feel like a 12 year old stuck in a 26 year olds body.

14. I follow the lives of professional snowboarders because I think they are cool.

15. Sometimes emoticons and “Dot, dot, dots” freak me out. I have been learning lately that might be because sometimes actual emotions freak me out. God is continuing to break down walls in my life.

16. I once heard someone say, “God does not look at you as a project that needs fixing, he looks at you as his beloved daughter and he wants to enjoy you.” Now God said that to her, but it really struck me. I am learning how to rest in God’s presence and seek him in quiet places.

17. I love snow. There is nothing better to me then “A white out” or “A snow day.” I think I love snow days so much because I have trouble slowing down and being still and no one needs to be productive on a snow day.

18. I love flip flops, sweatpants, and hoodies. I always say that I would be a way better teacher if I could teach in my sweats.

19. I went off to college to experience the world. Somewhere along the line, I lost myself in a quest of worldly happiness.  I majored in partying and minored in elementary and special education. Fortunately we have a God who is bigger then we are, who gives unfathomable amounts of grace, freely. I am learning to recieve this grace as I shed my scars.

20. I go on drives with God. We hang out in my car, blasting music. It is pretty cool. Sometimes I have to discern if it’s the heated leather seats or the Holy Spirit. (LOL)

21. I love my field hockey girls. I played field hockey in high school and in college, the teammates I have had are like family. I still play with some of my high school girls and I just laugh and laugh.

22. I love crafting. I used to want to open up a boutique and sell things I created.  I love anything handmade and relating to the beach. I need more time for the little things in life.

23. I love pictures. My junior year of college my computer crashed and I lost 3 years worth of pictures that were not backed up, it was like grieving the loss of a friend.

24. I say or txt,” lol” or “haha” when I don't know what else to say. I love to laugh. This sounds so corny, but when I am old I will proudly wear my laugh lines. I also love abbrev. words or using acronyms. Ex. “That is def tbg!”

25. In life you can be bitter or you can be better and I choose better. God has taken me on an incredible journey these last few months. I have known him my whole life, but over the last year I have experienced him in a whole new way.  Sometimes my head seems really far away from my heart. I am so thankful; God meets us where we are at, especially in our brokenness. Life is a journey, not a marathon and I want to learn how to live and enjoy each day. Too often I rush time away.

Well there you have it… 25 fun facts about me. My goal during this blogging process is to be open and honest. I have to say, this journey kind of rocks, it is not always easy, but the freedom has been incredible. I hope you will stick around and watch what happens when I allow God to walk along side me. I am learning new things every single day.
