wow I can’t believe this is happening & welcome to my very first blog post!!
I have always been the one reading other peoples blogs and now I am the one writing it. so cool. I am blessed and beyond excited to tell you guys about my acceptance into the world race gap year program. ah! yay!
so…let me explain…two summers ago I had a conversation with a friend about the world race gap year. At this moment in my life I didn’t really know what that meant. The only thing I really knew for after high school was college. The reason I never really looked into a gap year at first was because I have always looked forward to college. (don’t worry I will still be attending college…eventually) As I began to pray for guidance for my future God really put ministry on my heart. This calling also came from a missions trip to Haiti (I plan on writing a blog about this because God really moved in my heart there!). After more prayer and having the world race always in the back of my mind for months, I went to church camp and God placed it on my heart again and I said yes and that’s when this journey began.
okay so now that you have some background…what does this all mean?
In September of 2019, I will be leaving the country for 9 months (wow). My team and I will be traveling to Guatemala, Ethiopia, and Thailand (wow). When I tell people about this the next question that I always get is “well what will you be doing?” and honestly I can’t tell you what we will be doing, but I can tell you that we will be serving, loving, and growing. Our main desire is to be the hands and feet of Jesus to everyone we encounter. I will continue to say yes to God and go with whatever he brings my way because I am sooo ready for it.
There is so much more I could say but then I would be writing a novel…so please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have! I would love to answer them and have a conversation with you!
so what now?
In this season, I am in need of raising support both prayerfully & financially. If you feel led to support me in anyway please let me know. Any form of support is greatly appreciated! I will be doing some fun FUNdraising coming up too so please keep a look out for that!
