Hello there sweet people! Hope all is well!
I am in Guatemala!! WHAT!? This is real life! I still cannot believe that this is reality! Let me update you about what life has been like here in the land of eternal spring!!!
We arrived here on Monday the 9th. After a very exhausting travel day, we arrived at our base that is so beautiful. (Praise the Lord for a smooth travel day!!) This week has been filled with tons of excitement! Our first days consisted of squad meetings and orientation about all things Guatemala!! It was such a fun time of learning!
Here is a list of some things that I have experienced so far…

I have been really enjoying the food! HAHA The tortillas man…they are incredible! I am NOT upset at all that we eat them at almost every meal! So delicious!! We have people at our base that bless us with delicious meals! Also..COFFEE.

I have explored Antigua & Parramos a little bit, which are neighboring towns near our base. It has been so interesting to walk around and meet people. I have been given an amazing opportunity to practice spansih! The other day my team and I had an ATL day (Ask The Lord) and we let the Holy Spirit guide us through Parramos and it was incredible! I met a sweet woman that I bought some flowers from and I am planning on going to see her weekly! I am very excited to see where the Lord takes that! WOOOHOOO

I have been playing tons of soccer and volleyball! Living the dream!

We had our first day of ministry on Thursday! We met our ministry hosts and they are amazing! Our Ministry here is called One Way Community. It is a ministry that has been around since 2017. The people that run it are passionate and so welcoming! We will be tutoring kids in math, reading, and english weekly. We will also be playing soccer, participating in house visits, and connecting with women within the village. I AM HYPED! THANK YOU JESUS!!!!! AH! 🙂
There is so much I could say and it has only been a week. I am really loving it here! Everything about this experience so far has filled my heart with such joy. I am feeling mega thankful for this life! It is an honor to be living for the Lord! Thank you for all the love and support!!!
