“my daughter, I know you. Just be.”
This is a phrase that I have felt the Lord telling me every single day for the last month. Now, He has given me space to share with you guys. Praying that these words that I have sat on & prayed over will touch your heart.
to be known. to be truly known.
the desire so deep that we end up losing ourselves. fighting so hard to just be known that we forget who we really are. wanting so desperately to no longer fear being misunderstood.
seeking consistency instead of the ever changing trends. our hearts ache to just fit in.
living day to day where we are told what to look like, how to speak, and who to be.
crying out over and over again “no one gets it!”
just wanting to be known.
to be known. to be truly known.
wishing someone knew the exhaustion.
wishing someone knew the experience.
wishing someone knew the lack.
wishing someone knew the desire.
fighting against the battle to perform. fighting the tension of seeing everyone but somehow missing yourself.
just wanting to be known.
to be known. to be truly known.
we keep going. We keep doing.
hoping that the things we do will cover up the intense longing in our hearts for belonging.
we are left dissatisfied because we will always be told there is more we should be doing. we look to our right and our left and start to believe that we are lacking. forgetting to look up for truth.
getting asked question after question about the unknown in hopes that one day we will have a sufficient answer to give.
just wanting to be known.
to be known. to be truly known.
after running for so long to only be left empty. we are brought to a place of complete desperation. we have nothing left to give. there is beauty in this form of humility.
That’s where He meets us.
He doesn’t ask us to come with everything tied up with a pretty bow. He doesn’t ask us to come with all the answers.
He just says come.
He wants to be with us.
It’s there where he whispers to us and reminds us “I’ve KNOWN you before time began. I knit you together in your mother’s womb. You are mine.”
it’s that freedom. it’s that extravagant love.
He knows. He truly knows.
He knows. He truly knows.
In his kindness, He continues to bring us back to our pure identity.
we get to be a daughter.
we get to be a son.
we get to be a sister.
we get to be a brother.
we get to be a friend.
we get to be a disciple.
I get to be. just be.
I get to be a daughter.
I get to be a sister.
I get to be a friend.
I get to be a disciple.
I get to be Leanna Murphy…
& my Heavenly Father says that’s enough.
He knows me. He knows me really well.
we are known.
we are seen.
stop doing & start being.
with love & joy,
Leanna Murphy
