There is power in the words we speak. God spoke the entire world into existence. What if God created us with the same ability, to change this world by our voice?
What I learned this month is that the sound of a voice in worship and in prayer is powerful and causes a shift in what IS to what SHOULD BE. There is a need for prayer in every place, in every person, in everything!
Honduras has made me want to step out in boldness more until that is how I live all the time! I prayed for a woman named Katy to recover from paralysis and walk again. I prayed for God to change a community. I prayed for healing at a hospital. I prayed radically because I believe that God is able to do these things and I believe that God wants these things to happen more than I do.
Katy today cannot walk! I’m not going to lie I was a little discouraged at first that Katy was not healed. However, I learned through Katy by her Joy and her incredible faith that enduring the loss of her Son in that accident and persevering through her disability is a testament of Gods strength and is an encouragement to everyone around her. I do not need to see her walk to believe that God is at work in her life, though that would be really AWESOME to see and I hope to be a witness of that this year it is not necessary to have proof of what God is capable of!
What is an answer to prayer are these kids…
Meet Roney, Louis, Herman, Ariel, Dania, Fernando, and Carlos. They are the kids we lived with in Honduras. They grew up in the slums of Los Pinos where mattresses are used as fences and tires are used for steps. One of the kids home is behind a dumpster and all of them do not have fathers present in their life which is typical in a Honduran family. All seven of them have heard many words spoken over them about who they are. They have been identified as homeless, as a drug addict, as a thug and many other things that have weighed them down. What if that was all they heard? Tony and Nidia have taken these kids into their home and encourage them daily that they can live a different life and that they do not have to be what is typical in the place where they grew up.
Spending everyday with these kids was my ministry and hearing about where they lived and who they were is radically different from where they are now and most importantly who they are now. These kids are going to change their community.

This is Carlos, he is a prayer warrior! he prayed for our thanksgiving meal and has a heart of GOLD! On Thanksgiving he gave me a yellow flower for my hair and he bent down on one knee to give it to me! What a stud!

This is Herman, he is an incredibly hard worker and desires to live a life centered around Christ.

This is Ariel, he welcomes me every morning with a big smile and a hug! he is JOY and he is a blessing! Team Kaleo within our squad is raising funds to send him to school. I will post a link on how you can be a part of this.

Fernando is a RIOT! He has so much spunk and is a fiesty little thing. Fernando, his mom and his two siblings home is behind a dumpster in Los Pinos. It has been really amazing to see God pursue him and provide for him.

This is our team in Los Pinos, where we spent everyday of the week.
I have learned a lot through Tony and his ministry. I learned to not miss the opportunity.
This is what has been stirred up in my heart while I was in Honduras and continues to where I am standing right now, in Nicaragua…
I WANT TO SEE PEOPLE HEALED FROM ADDICTION
I WANT TO SEE FAMILIES RESTORED
I WANT TO HEAR SONGS OF PRAISE IN UNLIKELY PLACES
I WANT TO SEE COMMUNITIES TRANSFORMED
I WANT ORPHANS TO BE ADOPTED
I WANT MORE GODLY MEN TO STEP UP AND BE THERE FOR THEIR CHILDREN
I WANT TO SEE HEAVEN COME TO EARTH
And I want this to be the reality and not the dream
AND ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD!
