I cannot even handle how crazy-awesome-good God is right now. I am tearing up as I type this.
Yesterday morning, I was $2,240 short of the deadline.
This afternoon I was $705 short of the deadline.
Tonight I am $0 short of the deadline, praise God!
The past two days definitely make the “Top 5 Craziest Days of LeAnn’s Life.” I never thought I would say this, but I have been so blessed by the fundraising process. And I really never thought I’d say this, but I have been incredibly blessed by this crazy, last-minute fundraising. The funny thing is, it hasn’t felt crazy at all. I have felt more at peace these past couple of days than ever before in my life.
At training camp I shared with one of the trainers my concerns about the upcoming deadline. At this point I was still $3,700 away from it. She said, “It will work out. God knows what He is doing and He won’t quit on you. You might need the scramble of last-minute fundraising to draw you closer to Him.” She was on point for sure.
One of my fears coming into the World Race was that I would not have the community I desired. An open, vulnerable, safe, supportive, and loving community. At training camp, G-squad proved to be just that. These past couple of days, they have been extremely loving, and extravagantly supportive of me, and the other women on our squad still in need of funds. They have been praying. They have financially supported me. They have been advocates for me and asked their family and friends to support me. Any doubt that they loved me has been completely demolished. Any doubt that they will be a safe place for me has been destroyed. I am so thankful for the gift God has given me in knowing each of them.
Besides being supported by my squad, I have been supported by people I never would have expected it from in these past two days. Multiple people from high school, that I wasn’t even that close with back then, have posted my blog and sent me words of encouragement. Family members that I haven’t talked to in years have petitioned on my behalf. So many people have gotten behind me and helped me raise support, and I am so thankful for each and every one of you.
It has been insane in the best way.
I trust God now more than ever before. I am so thankful that He planned this last-minute fundraising for me. He used it to show me his power, his ability to work through anybody, his provision, grace, and his goodness. He is our Heavenly Father, our Abba who loves us. He gives us such good gifts and He always knows just what we need, even when it seems crazy.
I am in awe of Him tonight.
“So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.” Matthew 7:11 + Luke 11:13
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!
His faithful love endures forever.” Psalm 118:1
