After 3 flights, a night of “sleeping” in the airport, a shuttle ride, and a van ride through the city Team Gladiators has made it to our home for the month in Kathmandu, Nepal. Team Undefined is with us this month and we are working with Agape Mission International. We’ll be primarily doing women’s and children’s ministry. Holla! Our ministry host promised that we’d go to bed tired everyday. A satisfied kind of tired. Starting Wednesday we will be trekking through some of the villages for a week, which is exciting! Our host told us that the last world race team could not make the trek which has me a little concerned but I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am. Day one of the race and God is already calling me out to wholly lean on Him.
We are living in an apartment attached to Agape’s retreat center this month. We are surrounded by beautiful views of the Himalayas, which Lindsay W said she’s going to start calling the “Hermalayas” to make them feminine. These were words spoken out of jetlag haha.
I’m so blessed and excited to be here. I wish you could have seen G squad when we got off the plane in Kathmandu. I was surrounded by faces radiant with joy and anticipation for pouring out God’s love to the nations. None of us could stop smiling. I know that the world race is going to push me harder than ever before, and that through it God is going to mold me to reflect his image with more accuracy. I’m still in need of financial support so please give as you are able.
Checking out with anticipation, LeAnn.
