So I know I didn’t go very in depth on my last blog about my time in India or share very many pictures so that’s what this blog will be about! Honestly, I wasn’t looking forward to India. I was worried about the food, the smell, etc. but God changed my mind. I loved India! I loved the people, most of the food, I fell in love with India’s heart and how the women will rise up to become warriors of Christ.
Some days though, were hard ministry wise. You can’t even begin to imagine the poverty in some of the areas of Bangalore. Numerous times, while driving, we would pass small areas where people were living in make shift tents, or tin roof shacks. The home visits we made at night were typically 1 room houses where there usually wasn’t enough room for all of us to enter the house. Sometimes they had a bed, if you even call it a bed, but most of the time, they just had mates on the floor to sleep on. Most of the stories you couldn’t help but tear up while listening. We met some incredible people with incredible stories that I won’t ever forget.
This was the first church we got to worship/preach/give testimony/pray at the first week we were living in Bangalore. In the Indian culture, anytime you pray, worship or preach, you cover your head with a scarf so we wore our scarves everywhere we went. We got to pray for people after the service and the last week we were in Bangalore, we went back to visit some of the families and hear how God blessed them and healed them! It was very cool!

One of the most exciting things we got to do as a team was go to an Indian wedding! Our ministry host’s friend’s was getting married and she invited us! We all screamed with joy and excitement when we found out! The day of the wedding, with all the hustle and bustle of getting ready, our ministry host, even though she was sick as a dog with a migraine, still came over to help us put our saris on the correct way! We were so incredibly grateful! It was so much fun getting all dolled up to look the part! Fun fact: Typically, only older aged/married women wear saris but young women can wear them to special events.
I really did love India. Who knows, maybe God will bring me back one day! Thank you all for continuing to support me! If you would like to join me on this amazing adventure, please consider donating! Less than $3,000 left to go! Now, off I go to Nepal for month 2!!!
