We went to the Philippines, and all I got was a t-shirt. And a new family, and more love than I could ever imagine, and memories to last a lifetime.
Words can’t do any more for me on this one. They can’t describe it.
I’m really thankful for the Philippines. I hope this video can convey just a fraction of the love I felt and gave away last month.
Imagine being there, seeing us get beat up on a regular basis with pillows (and cake, and car exhaust…).
Imagine my team singing 10,000 Reasons for the 10,000th time in front of a church, until the day the church sang it first and forced me to remember chords to a different throwback worship song that hopefully the Filipinos would understand.
Imagine the smiles and hugs from the kiddos in the slums, at the temporary shelter, at our VBS. All the kids. All the hugs.
Please don’t take this one lightly. This is my heart.
