Support can mean a lot of things. A crutch, a cane, a bench, an abutment, a buttress, wind (specifically if it’s beneath wings)… Just so we’re all on the same page, I don’t really need those things. I need support, but in its much more serious form.
I need prayer. And I don’t mean a kind thought. I mean prayer. You know, the kind where the Creator of the Universe gets annoyed at all the people praying for this.
I need funds. (That’s a polite way of saying dolla dolla bills y’all.) This trip will cost $13,500 plus insurance, totaling more than $14,200. Needless to say, I do not have that kind of money stashed away.
I need things. Yes, material things. A sleeping bag, sleeping pad, a backpack, shoes and tons of random (smaller) items. This also includes a passport, tickets to and from the start and end of the race, as well as spending money.
Obviously, this is not possible for me to do on my own. Just as God calls us to go, He calls us to send. There are many people right now that God is calling to donate, to give, to pray and to encourage. It takes a village…and a community…and a team… What I’m saying is, it takes His Church to spread His Word.
I will go! Send me!
(No, really, send me. Click that Support Me link. Click it!)
