Today we went to a home where children and people with brain paralysis or cerebral palsy live. We went not knowing exactly what to expect because it was the first time our hosts had been there as well. We prepared a couple songs and a skit and brought along a couple pinatas. What we found was joy, love and pure excitement. These people came alive at the touch of a hand, at one hug or just a greeting. As I was talking to one of the workers at the home I found out that the residents hardly ever get parties and that they were so excited to have us there for that reason. They danced in freedom and we stepped into that freedom and danced with them as well. It was a great day. My favorite part of today was spending time with some of them individually, loving on them and praying over them. My favorite was this little boy whose name I don’t even know but as I was praying for him and singing over him and speaking into him I felt like he calmed down and became more receptive to what I was saying and was even interacting with me. We had to leave but we will be back next week and I can’t wait to see him again and pray for him again and sing over him again. Here are some pictures from today, enjoy!
