Okay, so I'm in Nairobi, Kenya and loving it! I wanted to blog and catch you all up real quick on how its going:

-we made it here Sunday morning, which would be 8 hours behind Saturday night in Alabama
-we stayed for two nights at Milimani Backpackers hostel which was sooo cool…was so nice to spend two days resting up and we saw a bunch of people coming in and out…it was true hostel experience and was pretty neat
-Tuesday morning all the other teams woke up early to head to their ministry sites which were anywhere from 5-10 hour bus rides away, while we waited and were picked up by our contact because my team of 6 is staying in the city of Nairobi this month
-we are staying at a home of a swwweet beautiful strong woman of God named Catherine and with her four girls Sandra, Cindy, Gerti, and Bilha and they are more hospitable than you could imagine
-on the way to our home we saw monkeys on the side of the road and our driver pulled over and all the mzungus (us) jumped out of the car and ran with our cameras…and just to paint a portrait it would basically be like a bunch of foreigners running towards squirrels on the side of the road because they are overlooked and pretty common here…but it made our day 🙂
-we're about to start a project of fundraising for hunger support so please pray for that

blessings from Nairobi,
Leah
