My fellow teammate and I took a handful of minutes of quietness before we talked about what God had played on our heart. My teammate went first, she talked about some bible verses that God had laid on her heart, and what she felt like God was telling her through those verses. I nodded had some input on what they meant to me. Then after a few minutes of silence it was my turn.

I said alright, bare with me here, but I need you too look up at this waterfall with me for a couple minutes and I am going share with you what I see.
Now if you take a look at the picture I have uploaded, just take a few minutes to really look at it. This I the waterfall I was looking at when I had this conversation.

I told her how much this waterfall represents us as humans. Different times of the year a waterfall will be spilling over more or less water depending on rainfall, or snowmelt ect. Just like as humans, we go through different seasons of life where we are spilling, and overflowing with Gods love, passion, and faith that it is contagious to those around us. A waterfall doesn’t just fall into the pool/ stream below, but it touches/ infects everything directly around it. There’s a reason that every single plant around it is a vibrant green, and full of life at the bottom of waterfalls.

Waterfalls also show their scars, well yes the water falling doesn’t but the rock supporting it does. The rock behind them is kind of like our soul. The rocks behind the overflow get carved out, one can see visible lines, and marks on the rocks (much like us having scars and lines from life). You see this best in the places where the water used to come down, or a part where water is barely trickling down the rocks. There are some seasons where God is chiseling away on one particular area, and leaving the other for a while to shine and heal. It doesn’t mean that he is done with that section, it just means he has has something else that is a higher priority that he needs to handle in your life.

We may be over flowing, or barely flowing over and no matter what God is still chiseling away at our souls, and lives. He is continually trying to make us better, and chisel away the stuff ( or the lies) the devil makes us believe. Even when we are barely trickling from the cup, when we feel like the biggest mess, or failure, or just plain not good enough God is still working away never giving in, and using us in those moments to bless others in his kingdom to give us strength, to give them strength.

Even when we are barely trickling we have a direct influence on those around us.

So the next time you hear the little voice say you aren’t good enough, that you are not beautiful enough, or worthy enough I dare you to do a rain check. We have a mighty King as our father making us in his light, and we are made in the image of him. Meaning we are good enough. I dare you to do more than a rain check, I dare you to fire back and tell the devil he is wrong, that your father is a mighty king and that he has no problem fighting the devil off, because your father up in heaven made you perfect the way you are, and is always willing to serve you plenty of grace and mercy.

” No man can redeem the life of another or give to God a ransom for him.
The ransom for a life is costly, no payment is ever enough.” Psalm 49:7-8
