Forgiveness

Yep. Here it is. Here is the hardest characteristic trait to do. I have learned a lot these past months, and this has been the hardest lesson so far. Walking in  Forgiveness is so freeing in so many ways. It’s funny to think as perfectly flawed humans we work on this everyday of our lives. If your telling me right now you don’t have anyone you need to forgive right now in this moment, I want you to think a little more.

I have walked through a lot with forgiveness the past months and how healing that is. The Lord has been so faithful through it all. I still am to this day working on what that looks like. My friend was talking to me about how she was praying one night about Jesus forgiving her, and instead he said right away I forgive you what do you mean. What life would look like if we all did that every single day!!!!

Walking in forgiveness I’ve seen the Lords fruit in it. He has shown me what it means to be a child of God.  Whenever I think about not forgiving people and how that hardens my heart as a person and doesn’t grow me, God brings me back to a book in the Bible.

Matthew 18:21-22

“Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”

?? “Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”

Makes you stop and think about what we should look like. Forgiveness is hard and it’s something I have been working on a lot lately, is it something you need to work on too?

Blessings,

Layne
