Man the past ten days at training camp was wild. I got there and my brain automatically said this is not the place for me. I began to worry and try to figure it all out, while keeping quite about it. I kept praying asking God why he thought the race was for me. The very next day one of my leaders talked about her training camp and how out of place she felt and everyone else started speaking up about how they felt out of place too. That was the very first time I felt an overwhelming feeling of community. Community formed so fast from there on out. From squad time to late night talks to ham-mocking and talking everything through as a big family. I begin to slowly realize how fast everything is coming up but then again my worry became nothing because i found my family.

Everyday we had a routine, it was nice and easy to figure out. Wake up have breakfast, session back to back, lunch, session, squad time, dinner, session and then to sleep. Within that time of ten days, I learned a lot. I learned about the holy spirit, feedback, community, The trinity, and so much more. I also learned it good to challenge each others faith. I am so happy that I got to deepen my faith to a whole new level with so many great people. Its an overwhelming good feeling knowing I have a great family to rely on through all these crazy transitions, and not to mention we are all going to experience similar things.

Now when it comes to fundraising I am currently $350 dollars away from $6,000. I need to reach $10,000 in order to fully launch with my squad! I wouldn’t be able to do this without all of you! Thank you for your generous support! If you feel like donating you can do so by clicking the donate button! Also reminder all donations are tax deductible!

Also I am now going to 12 countries instead of 11! I’m super excited! I will be going to south Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Peru, Ecuador, Chile, and Argentina! I’m super happy with my new route change, and couldn’t be more excited!

With love,

Layne
