Hi Everyone,
I’m so excited to get to know y’all and I wanted to share a few things about myself to help you get to know me!
A few basics:
My name is Lauren and I am 28yrs old. Originally from Virginia, but I am currently living in Marathon, Florida, which is way down south in the beautiful Florida Keys. I have lived here for almost 5yrs now and I have definitely become an island girl. I love living by the ocean and most of my hobbies include being in/or around the water. My other passion is animals! Most of my favorite adventures involve meeting new creatures or going to zoos & aquariums.
I am one of those lucky few that has been able to make my passion my career. I am a dolphin trainer, yep you read that right a dolphin trainer, and have had the privilege of working alongside the BEST co-workers (humans and fins) for over 4yrs. Some days I can’t believe that it is actually my job to make dreams come true. I could talk about my dolphins all day, but I’ll let you message me if you want to hear more.
I am a bit of a nerd and I’m ok with it. I’m a proud Hufflepuff and my favorite genre of music is Disney. Movie nights and board games are my idea of a good time.
Quality time with my boyfriend, family and friends is super important to me. I’m very thankful for each of them. I’m incredibly lucky to have been surrounded with so many really good people.
Digging Deeper:
Ever since I was a little girl, I remember believing in God. When I accepted Jesus as my savior, my faith changed in that moment and has continued to grow throughout my life. It has looked very different at times. The one constant is that God has always been very real to me. I am far from perfect with many fears and struggles, but I am learning to rest in my relationship with God and that He loves me relentlessly.
