Hey! My name is Lauren Kenley thanks for checking out my World Race blog!
I am a curly haired girl from Charlotte, North Carolina but I am currently studying social work and global studies at Liberty University! I’ll be graduating in May & cannot wait to see where the Lord takes me!
I am passionate about the nations, missions, social justice, coffee, crime shows, and most importantly my relationship with Jesus Christ!
From a young age, I’ve always been passionate about the nations and missions. In high school, I had the opportunity to go on three international mission trips where my love for the nations only deepened. Once in college, I was presented with the opportunity to go and study abroad in Uganda, where I could intern for Compassion International, as a social work intern. I took the opportunity and headed to Uganda for four months where I absolutely fell in love. I learned SO much in those short four months while in Uganda.
Once back home I began looking for ways to get back overseas to serve as a social worker. I never imaged He would send me out as a missionary, but over time He began directing me towards missions & He made it so clear that He wanted me to go on the World Race, an 11-month mission trip to 11 countries.
So here I am today. A senior in college, planning, preparing, and fundraising to spend 11-months after college in various nations being the hands and feet of Jesus.
The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy! Psalm 126:3
