I chose the world race because a little over a year ago, my life drastically changed because I made the decision to give my life to God. As I have gotten to know him, he has given me a new perspective on how I see others, myself, and life as a whole. This new perspective has opened my eyes and has allowed me to realize that ITS NOT ABOUT ME. To me, life is not about me and how much I can gain, it’s about what I can give. I have already gained more than this world has to offer because I have been given the opportunity to have a relationship with Jesus. He has given me a “start over” in life, forgiven me, and freed me from my past. He has completely overwhelmed me with love and an excitement that I cannot contain. For this reason, I want to share it with others! I know the world race will be full of opportunities for me to do that. It will be a year of my life devoted to serving God and others while being stretched to learn more about myself and experience different cultures.
