It has been a minute since I have last posted…. I have been b u s y.

Here is what I have been up to in the last month or so:

  • I picked up a second job on some weeknights and on the weekends

100% of the profit is going to the World Race– in a few weeks, I will be able to purchase a new laptop for blogging/vlogging/storytelling (alllllll the PRAISE HANDS! My 7-year-old macbook isn’t cuttin’ it anymore….)

  • My third fundraiser (1: t-shirts // 2: clothing swap) was a garage sale and it was a SUCCESS. I was able to raise ~$900… and after taking items to consignment and selling on FB Marketplace, I think I will reach my goal for this fundraiser: $1,000!!!

A huuuuge S/O to everyone who donated items, and came out to the sale! It meant so much to me to have so many people contribute in multiple ways.

  • In June, I created an Amazon Wish List with items necessary to include in my backpacks for the 11 months… and as of this past weekend I am so excited to say that the wish list is EMPTY!!!!!!! Yay!! So beyond grateful for everyone who contributed to clearing out the list.

So basically if I got a call saying our trip got bumped up and we have to leave tomorrow, I would be set to go!! (whip out those praise hands again!)

My small group is the sweetest… not only did they help clear out my wish list, but they also made a card with notes of encouragement. It means so much to be that I have a whole tribe supporting me during my entire journey!

  • FUNDRAISING UPDATE!

As of right now (August 20– with some donations still processing online) I am at…. drum roll please… $6,143!!!!!

Thinking back on day 1 of this journey and being so intimidated by the $19,200 requirement… I can’t believe today I am 30% funded! And it’s all thanks to my amazing supporters 😀

When I found out I surpassed the 9/25 fundraising deadline one month beforehand…. thanks to the Lord’s faithfulness!!!! (why yes, someone took a still shot of a video of me and turned it into a meme…. HAD to use it lolol)

I know I still have a long way to go, but I truly believe the Lord is going to provide. He has already provided and shown up in such amazing ways, I just can’t wait to see how He is going to take me to that $19,200 mark!

While it’s been tough to prepare and fund raise, I have never felt closer to the Lord. I have learned to completely put all of this into His hands, and be at peace with His plan and provision for me. To be completely transparent, I have never “tithed” or given to the Lord in such great quantities from my own income… and yet, I still have enough for bills, rent, and some social activities. So it really is true when you give everything to the Lord, He will still provide yessss!

Never have I heard Him speak so clearly to me during this time– while I am laying in bed, driving to work, and other times I call out to him… He replies and always assures me that it is all going to work out in His own timing.

It has been amazing to see how close I have drawn to the Lord, and how much I have grown during this season. And I haven’t even landed in my first country. So I am SO PUMPED to see how much He shows me, challenges me, stretches me, changes me, and teaches me in 2020!

So again, thank you all SO MUCH for your love, prayers, donations, and supports. It quite literally means the WORLD to me. 😀
