So it was technically a Sabbath day for us… but some of us were itching to explore more of the city we call home for these next few weeks. I have spent time looking up places to see on Pinterest, and there was a particular park & mosque area I really wanted to check out. Two of my teammates – Shauny & Raquel – joined me and we had a blasssst!
To be completely honest, I have felt a little out of place here. We haven’t started ministry yet, so while I want to enjoy these rest days I also feel uncomfortable that I haven’t started the work I have planned to do for a long time now. I woke up yesterday morning with a sick feeling in my stomach – wondering why am I here, waking up on a sleeping pad in a classroom in Asia?! But yesterday’s adventure was exactly what I needed 🙂
