It’s here. The World Race has officially begun!!!
I am writing to you from Bangdung, Indonesia. I can’t believe I’m finally here! A word I heard one of my leaders to describe the country was “lush” and that is so true. Lots of different trees and other greenery! A lot of the place reminds me of China… which is nice since it is familiar to me.
This month, we are going to help at a center that teaches English to little kids. They are ADORABLE. Thankfully the Lord has blessed us with a few rest days to start out this month. We are enjoying this time by catching up on sleep, recovering from 20+ hours of travel, journaling, and getting to know each other better.
We are staying at the ministry this month – which means setting up our sleeping pads each night and putting them away each morning, bucket showers, finding our own toilet paper, keeping our packs all organized on shelves, and avoiding the cockroaches!
I spent some time today taking photos as we rested at our host’s apartment and walked to the mall, with my new camera. I really enjoyed it and plan to continue to take lots of photos and videos this year 🙂
Here are some I took today!
