When people find out about the race, you get a lot of questions. Mostly, they are around the adventure aspect of the mission trip.

*You’re going to be living out of a sleeping bag?

*You have to sleep in a tent?

*Make sure you do all the tourist items

Trust me when I say, these are some pretty good questions. However, I don’t want the true meaning behind the mission trip to get lost in the adventure.

I’ve said this before but I want to say it again, I’m NOT going for the adventure. I didn’t wake up and say, “hmm, I want to travel the world & live out of a backpack.”

This is NOT a backpacking adventure.

This is NOT a trip for fun or to explore the world, THIS IS A MISSION.

It’s a mission to lose yourself in love for others. It’s a desire to serve others, love on strangers, and give what’s been given to you.

I want to share love with the world, this is why I’m going. I want to show people that your passions don’t have to die when you face a life altering change. Let me be the example that you can have JOY & HEALING after the loss of a loved one. I want to bless other people because I have been blessed beyond what I deserve.

My heart’s desire is not about the adventure, it’s not about seeing the world either.

My hearts desire is to change the world with love.

God’s promises are for everyone, He has no favorites. We all can go to Him and enjoy the promises that He has.

Let’s not forget the truth behind the adventure, the true meaning we are giving it all up…. Is for others.
