Launch date is drawing closer and closer by the mintue. I leave from New York in less than a month. Yep, that’s right, a month! AIM staff recently sent us support deadlines and some last minute tips for bringing in the last of the funds we need. I wanted to share this with everyone and just update you all with where I stand.
First, I want to precede everything with a reminder that God is bigger than any goal we can put in front of Him. He is a PROVIDER! It’s not a characteristic of Him; It’s who He is. So , yes, there is still a long way to go to meeting our end goal of $15,000. But it’s ok! AIM is a true reflection of our Lord in extending grace to so many of us struggling through this process.
DEADLINES
AIM has established the following dates/amounts for us:
July 8th ——————– $7,000
July 20th ——————- $8,000
November 1st ———— $11,000
February 1st ————– $13,800
As you can see, the first deadline has past. Currently there is around $4,000 in my support account. Looking ahead to our next goal, I need $4000 in the next few days! Again, this is totally and completely possible — this is GOD we’re talking about!
BREAKDOWN
To make the numbers a little easier to swallow, I decided to break it down in just a few ways:
- 11 donations of $1,000
- 100 donations of $110
- 1000 donations of $11
Or looking at it from a monthly-pledge standpoint:
- 500 partners — $2/month
- 200 partners — $5/month
- 100 partners — $10/month
- 50 partners — $20/month
- 40 partners — $25/month
- 20 partners — $50/month
- 10 partnerss — $100/month
It’s amazing just how easily this money can be provided! To show this, and to show just how much every single donation makes a HUGE difference, here are some practical ways this last $11,000 can come in:
- 250 partners put away one dollar a week towards the World Race
- 200 partners, instead of buying ONE cup of coffee every month, pledged that $5 to the Race
- 200 partners cut $5 worth of coupons once a month and used them when buying their groceries
- 100 partners sacrificed eating out once a month and contributed that $10 to this effort
These a just a few of so many different ways you can be a part of The World Race with me!
