I am blessed. Embarking on my Race, the
Lord blessed me beyond measure with a community of kingdom-bringers
that became my family. And here, out on a new journey with The World
Race, His favor continues to crash over my life. The S-Squad is
filled with men and women who are passionate about glorifying their
God and bringing His kingdom to this earth. You can’t help but love
them. And from early on there are 9 of them that stood out as chosen
by God to start this new season in a position of leadership. The bond
they created in a matter of HOURS truly feels a tight-knit family.
The Lord has place a thick anointing of leadership over each and
every one of them and I just wanted you to meet these amazing men and
women of God I get the honor to serve.
SHANNON AHOLA:
Shoot, this girl is a badass. I don’t
really cuss and that’s not a great way to start a blog, but it’s
just so true. From the day I met her, her ability to humbly lead has
always stuck prominently out. She walks with a confidence in her
identity that leaves you staring at her when she walks by. She has a
passion and fierceness that I would associate with a lioness. She has
a discernment that perfectly accompanies her anointing of leadership.
And for some reason any time around her I’m filled with hope,
something I’m sure will f=draw people to her for he rest of her
life.
BROOKS ELLIOTT:
This guy can do some serious back
flips! But other than his sweet gymnastic skills, this man of God has
a huge gift of teaching. He has an eagerness about him to lean and to
share his wisdom and knowledge of the Lord with those around Him. You
just can’t be around him without the Lord teaching you something
new about His character or His truths. He is highly favored by the
Lord and has a prophetic voice that resonates from his merciful
heart. He has a connection to the Lord through music that is just
awe-inspiring to witness and has a passion for the Lord that is
contagious.
JOSH RENE:
One of our married men, there’s no
doubt the Lord has touched this man. I don’t think it’s possible
to be around Josh without feeling loved. Just in being, he loves —
its so cool! He is a bold man who trusts the Lord with all his heart.
His faith digs deep like the roots of a century-old tree, And because
if this absolute trust his words are filled with Truth, bringing life
to those around him and uniting them under this reassurance of God
and His promises.
GREG HOUGHTON:
First off, this guy gets kudos just
because he’s leading an all-girl team. But there’s no doubt that
the Lord has placed him in that position to be an example to those
women of what a godly man looks like. When you’re around him you
just feel safe and protected. He has a peace in His Spirit that
comforts just about anyone in a hundred-yard radius of him. Think the
calm that comes after the storm, just settling the waves that might
be raging in the people around him. God has blessed him with an
obedient heart and willingness to serve his brothers and sisters with
humility.
MARY MAGONI:
You can’t be around Mary for more
than 0.2 seconds before smiling. Her joy is overwhelming and
addictive. She makes me think of a huge flower, blossoming bigger and
more beautifully than any of those around her. She just uplifts the
spirits of the people around her and has a strength in her character
that I know is purely from the Lord. She is a loyal sister and just a
straight-up Proverbs 31 woman. God has anointed her to be a vessel
for countless miracles on the Race, and throughout her life.
DUSTIN SUTTLE:
Also one of our married men, there’s
no doubt he is a shepherd of God’s people. He is a natural leader
and it’s so easy to follow him. He is an encourager and exhorter,
calling out the greatness of God he sees in each and every one of us.
He is a man of integrity and is a shining example to men of what a
man of God looks like, especially in his role as a husband. Truth
pours from him, even without speaking a word of scripture, leaving
those that encounter him, refreshed and encouraged in who they are as
children of God.
ALLAN BOEHM:
This man of God has a thick gift of
healing. He probably doesn’t even realize just how thick it is. He
loves the Lord wholeheartedly and walks in complete faith of the
Spirit inside himself, openly proclaiming that the dead will be
raised in Jesus’ name. There’s no doubt he will be a vessel for
the bringing the dead back to life, both physically and spiritually
with his anointed hands and prophetic words. He is a light to this
squad and to the nations, exemplifying what a Spirit-filled life
looks like.
SCOTTY BARRON:
This guy is thickly thickly anointed as
a leader. When I think of him I think of 2 things: power and seeker.
I cant really explain him…he just has an extra oomph to him.
Everything about him is just accelerated or heightened, including his
passion. Scotty is always asking questions, eagerly desiring to know
those around him and His God more and more every single day. He gives
all of himself in everything he does and is fully committed to
glorifying God with the life He’s been given. The Lord has opened
his eyes to see people as He sees them which allows Scotty to speak
and act in a manner that reminds people of their identity as royalty
in the House of God.
MAC MITCHELL:
Dang, Gina. Mac dwells in an entirely
different atmosphere most days. His connection to the heart of God is
something awesome to behold, like fireworks exploding in the sky. He
has a high position in the army of God and will usher in a new level
of freedom on the S-squad and through ministry. His heart is bursting
with love for everyone around him and his knees are strong from the
powerful interceding he was designed to do on behalf of his brothers
and sisters. His spirit is so in-tune with that of God’s that you
don’t even have to look twice before beholding the Christ that
dwells at the core of his being. And his confidence in his identity
as a man of God makes him so lighthearted and free-spirited that you
love being around him.
These 9 men and women of God blow me
away. Just when I think they can’t get any more amazing, God
reveals a new piece of their spirit or their heart to me. I have
complete faith in each of them as leaders on this squad and as
leaders in the Kingdom of God. They will set the world on fire with
their passion and their boldness, forcing the darkness to flee, and
allowing the light of Christ and the glory of God to cover His
creation. They are vessels of victory and hope and I cannot wait to
see and hear the crazy things the Lord does through them this year.
